December Mini Model Build [40250] |
Choo! Choo! The Monthly Mini Model Build for December is a steam train!
This is actually genius! What model is festive enough but will also work well with grinches and scrooges? A classic train, of course! Or a locomotive to be specific.
This month's Mini Model Build is really enjoyable. The instructions were simple and interesting enough for a little child to follow. The red and black color scheme (Hogwarts Express?) is timeless and very fitting. I'm quite surprised with the size of the final build. As you can see below, you can say it's a proper train build. And it's really nice that a plate with a ball piece was included to connect further builds. With a little help from extra bricks and your imagination, you can link your locomotive with a passenger car. Or perhaps a coal car? Then you can put your creation underneath your Christmas tree!

If you want to build your own LEGO train, check out the building instructions here. They don't have to be the exact pieces. Be creative and imaginative! Design your own!
The Monthly Mini Model Build is every first Thursday of the month in UK LEGO Stores (check the link for more details).
(P. S. Just in case you were wondering why there's no November Mini Model Build post, our family missed the event. The mini St. Bernard build was really popular that every polybag was given away in our local LEGO Store. But if you want to give it a go, you can find the instructions here.).
