LEGO Star Wars Magazine Issue 30

LEGO Star Wars Magazine Issue 30 is now available and it's a bumper issue (again)!

I wonder what's the deal with the frequent bumper issues. Hopefully, everything is alright sales-wise for our favorite LEGO magazine from a galaxy far, far away. Anyhow, Issue 30 is jam-packed with the usual fun activities, comics, and posters (super loved the centerfold, by the way) from the different corners of the Star Wars universe.

This month's free gift is the classic Y-Wing!

Y-Wing

Y-wing starfighters were first used during the Clone Wars. These starships may be considered as veterans in the field, but being dependable all-rounders, they were the most widely used ships during the Galactic Civil War. They were often used as assault bombers to attack enemy ships.

For the free gift, the mini Y-Wing was ingeniously designed. The build per se is really enjoyable. I just have a bit of a struggle in assembling the engines with my chubby fingers. The final build is elegant enough to display. It captured the vintage feel of the actual Y-Wing. Too bad the set didn't come with a proper stand. I just borrowed the Probe Droid's for the photoshoot.

The bonus LEGO set in my pack is Palpatine's Shuttle, which was originally given away with last year's Issue 17.

Another shuttle is set to take off next month, but this time it's Kylo Ren's. The new issue comes out 10 January.
