Start 2018 with a splash with January's Monthly Mini Model Build, a friendly walrus!

The people behind the LEGO Store's Monthly Mini Model Build must really love the water, for this month, we have another sea creature, a cute little walrus!

As always, the build is enjoyable, with the instructions simple and interesting enough for small brick fans. I think the pros for this mini build is the incorporation of tusks, and the posable front and back flippers. A possible con is the color scheme. Shades of brown may accurately represent walruses but they may not necessarily appeal to most kids.

The Monthly Mini Model Build is every first Thursday of the month in UK LEGO Stores. The next one will be on 1 February with a cool minifigure-scale car and a petrol pump!
