LEGO annual 2018 review

Of course, there's also a LEGO Official Annual 2018!

Out of all the LEGO annuals for 2018, this one is the odd man out. Even though they all have the same format, this is the only LEGO annual published by Ladybird (the others were published by Egmont). But it's a good thing they all follow the same format of including a free minifigure for every book. For the past years, the freebies were only various plates forming the numerals of the given year.

For the free minifigure, to be honest, I'm not quite familiar with it. But after a few clicks, I found out that he is actually a Stunt Truck Driver!

This minifigure is included in the LEGO City Stunt Truck [60146] set, which just came out this year. The minifigure per se may be relatively new, but the Xtreme brand is not. You can trace it way, way back from the 90's, representing the extreme sports.

For the book itself, I think it would be more appropriate to include Minifigures in the title, for it heavily featured various minifigs from the collectible series. The art is really cute, and it's really fun to see old and new minifigs interact with each other.
